Trip to St.Lawrence and St.James

I went to St.Lawrence and St.James with my classmates and teacher Joseph last week. That was a great day. I know about some Toronto histories and cultures. Toronto had a old name was York at 1793. At that time the population was only 200. St.Lawrence was a first City Hall near the Ontario Lake, after 200 years, this area had a great change you cannot find the original city area, but some building  keep style and features very well. Today when we talking about those building and saw the history, you may be disbelief at all, but we need keep surprised and to know.

Another amazing thing was Organ Festival  in St.James. that was my first time to met the organ nice muice at St.James. The organ is a keybord  instument of one and more divsions. each player with its own keyboard operated  either with the hands or the feet. The organ is a relatively old musical instrument in the Western musical tradition. I was so enjoy that.

Picasso at AGO

Do you know Picasso? Last Friday we went to the AGO and saw the Picasso Exhibition. Picasso was born in Spain the city of  Malaga in 1881, and died in France in 1973. He was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer. He spent most of his adult life in Paris. Picasso was One of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century. Picasso's creativity is amazing. His works total approximately 60,000 but he only paintied ten thousand pictures. He was a artist who lived to see their collertion of works installed in the Louvre painter. Picasso's life is so Brilliant.

Picasso received formal artistic training from his father in figure and oil painting when he was 7 years old. When Picasso was 16, Picasso's father and uncle decided to send him to Madrid's Royal Academy of San Fernando, the country's foremost art school. Picasso made his first trip to Paris in 1900. Paris was the art capital of Europe. There he met his first Parisian friend and began the time of  his Blue Period....

My University's Life

I graduated from a university in Xiamen China. Xiamen is a one of most of beautiful cities in China with a very famous island. The island's name is Gulanyu.  My school is located on the island. As an academy of fine arts student, I was so content in there for 4 years. When I think of my university life, it always cheers me up.

Gulanyu is a  tourist attraction and every day it receive a lot of tourists. But my school was at the back of the island with some beaches, so we can enjoyed the fine view and the peaces at the same time. We often drew at the seaside or in alleys wtih my classmates. We also loved to walk and ran about on the beach, felling the sea wind, the ocean waves, and enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. Gulanyu have a many famous buliding with different style.but righr now those buliding almost using in business. such as coffee bar, bookshop...however, it was a very magical time and an unforgottable experience in my life. Sometimes we have to face life's difficult things, but the past is not only in my mind and also fills me with power, like during my time at university life.

Hi, nice to meet you. I'm a new student. My name is Joan. I came from another LINC school and I have studied English for almost 7 months.  I have been in Toronto for 11 months with my family. I have one son. He is 4 years old and is studying in junior kindergarten. He likes to play sports such as swimming, tennis, and skating. He enjoys all of it. My husband is a software engineer. He always works on the computer and seldom does sport actively. I like sports even though I don't have much free time, so I just do the some sports with my son.
